Located on the channel in historic, beloved Killarney, Ontario, Big Willy’s Bait Shop has become the seasonally anticipated purveyor of world-class oysters, steamed shrimp, and our own reasonably-famous BWBS Jambalaya seasoned with our BWBS Spice ‘House Secret’ blend of herbs and spices.

 Every year on the Friday of Ontario’s May ‘24’ long weekend (Victoria Day), Big Willy’s Bait Shop pulls out the umbrellas, fires up the shrimp pots, and sharpens their shucking knives ready for another season offering some of the finest seafood known anywhere. Shrimp are cleaned, oysters are flown in from both coasts, and andouille sausage simmers down on the docks as the special goodness that gets stirred into the BWBS Jambalaya begins to enliven the dockside air with the familiar savory scent. These rustic culinary occurrences help signal the start of the season as the North Channel gently comes to life. Every evening, the magical Killarney North Channel becomes awash with the a bewitching golden hue as the sun sinks down to find the perfect angle to illuminate the boats, warm the backs of shoulders, and spread smiles across faces that suddenly realize that all is well and that there is nowhere that they would rather be.
